The problem
Cloud-hosted microservices were quietly expensive, and nobody owned the question of why.
The approach
I reviewed the microservices-based deployments to identify performance and cost bottlenecks, leading the analysis across the team's Grafana and Tableau dashboards and independently surfacing where the money was going. Then came the alignment work: partnering with product managers, engineers, and engineering leaders to prioritize the fixes, and implementing architectural and configuration optimizations.
The outcome
- Roughly $3M in annual savings.
- A 50% increase in throughput and processing speed.
Why it matters
This is the most consulting-shaped work I did at HERE: a structured audit, a quantified case, stakeholder buy-in, and implementation follow-through. The number held up because the diagnosis did.
